Community Service

Purpose

Encourage and foster the application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life.

The Community Service Committee includes the following areas of responsibility:

• Community Development
• Environmental Protection
• Human Development
• Partners in Service

2007-2008 Goals:

• Plan and coordinate two clean-up and service projects,  Lehigh County Rodale Fitness and Cycling Park and   Ontalaunee Park
• Plan and coordinate one or two activities for a nursing or  assisted living facility
• Plan and coordinate one day of assistance for Meals on  Wheels of Lehigh County
• Identify and assess local youth, elderly, and community  service organizations for distribution of annual auction  funds
• Explore/Develop New Ontalaunee Park Project
• Continue annual concert for Luther Crest residents
• Coordinate Media coverage of club activities
